You can't go wrong with the hybrid Roma--a great paste type tomato. Though
in warm climates, Roma tends to be a semi-determinate. One I grew last year
and loved was Silvery Fir Tree. It's a Russian heirloom with carrot top or
ferny foliage, grows to 24-30 inches and is a heavy cropper. Plus, it
ripens it's first fruit 58 days after transplants are set out. I picked 53
tomatoes from one plant--all in the 5 oz. range. The flavor is zingy--very
nice. It's good for containers, too.
