Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Hi All,
Even though our frost free date isn't until April 17, I have the planting
bug. So....I'm
going to start Imperial artichoke seeds under lights this weekend. They
need
about 16 weeks of growth before setting out, I understand. My questions
are:
1. Has anyone grown artichokes in a square foot bed? If so, what is the
spacing?
2. How do you start the seeds? Do they need bottom heat? I understand
that
they like chill and require at least two weeks of under 50F weather in order
to
set flower buds. Do you need to keep the seedlings this cool, too?
TIA
