Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
In a message dated 99-02-19 08:44:39 EST, you write:
<< I was always lead to believe that the use of any
chemicals that were no natural was not organic. That you needed to use
only what mother nature gave you to grow in the garden. >>
Hi Deb,
I hope that the fights on the other list won't scare you away from it. I
also belong to that list and the wealth of info there is still amazing to me.
Just learn to delete the nasty stuff. My feeling is that Monsanto et al are
having people "contribute" to that list just for the sake of stirring up
trouble, since members of that list were key to helping defeat the "renaming"
of what may be called organic.
I'm going into my 5th year of square footing and my 4th of having an
organic (see your definition of organic above) garden and I can't see any way
that I would go back to chemical use.
<<Is it ok for me to give out
this URL to those member on the other list that wish to garden
organically?? I am so new at gardening that I don't want to do it
wrong. >>
I think there are a few on both these lists, including Frank of the wonderful
tag lines. The only thing you can do wrong, in my opinion, is to not enjoy
gardening (especially organic. Wait till you see the cool bugs you attract
when your organic) and to not learn from any disasters, both from mother
nature and your own.
A hearty welcome to the list. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
