Re: Gardening Programs

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

My dream program?? Well??? One that you can enter the date of your
last frost and the date of the first frost in the fall and it will give
you the number of weeks before and after on a calendar so you don't have
to figure it out yourself. One that will put the plant indoor start
dates on a calendar after you have entered the veggie info into the data
base and chosen it for planting. One that lists companion plants and
also the ones you don't want next to each other on a certain square of
distance. One that lets you list things on your calendar even if that
day has gone by. One that will not let us new gardeners plant a tall
plant next to a short on so it doesn't get any sun :-). One that will
not let you plant the same family of plant in the same square time after
time. One that lets you choose the size of your square or run of
squares along a wall. (I have one along a wall that is 18" by 27'). One
that lets you plant fast growers in the same square with slow growers.
One where you can list soil tests, weather info, plant results,
amandment info, and personal notes on a calendar to compare year after
year. One that will let you keep track of seeds, starts, and results for
the veggie garden and the orchard, as well as your flower beds. Just to
start with. LOL, Debbie
