After I wrote that email, I called our extension agent master gardener and
he said I live in Zone 6B.  Steve and I actually have been working on our
beds the last few evenings and we are really looking forward to Wednesday,
when it is supposed to be 76 degrees outside!  We've had maybe one hard
freeze (17 degrees) this year.  Although this is unusual weather, it isn't
unusual for it to snow in the night then be pretty enouph to play golf by
the afternoon.

I'm new at this gardening stuff.  I don't really understand the zones.
