You should be able to find an excellent book on the subject suggested at
this site as well as a neat program to help plan and keep records of your
square foot garden.

I got a copy of the book from amazon.com and find it fascinating. I
spend time every day studying not just reading it and intend to follow it as
closely as possible in just about 4 to 6 weeks maybe sooner depending on
what Phil sees on Feb.2 ;-) Pro greenhouse owners in our area <z5> will
most likely start planting as soon as this cold snap passes to have
seedlings ready for us. I intend to visit the one near my home and suggest
they rent out by table some of the space they will not be using. They have
several sheds and I doubt the new owners will use them all this year.
