All the beds were made from cheap lumber rough cut. The swamp bed
had the advantage of 3in. maple and pine branches to help keep it from
sinking. The water there was from the high water table at the time. It
was a wet spring. The garden is less than 2ft. above a normal water
table level. The soil is so ashy though that I watered every day. This
year I can cut down because of all the BS errrrr manure and compost I
added.
side note Eleanor Rosevelt wife of former president once told news men
not to complain about her husbands use of the word manure as it took her
ten years to get him to use that term.
