Since I am a new poster, I'm not sure what the headings normally look like.
I'm starting a new message from my Eudora mail, using s*@listbot.com  as
the To: field.  I'll be interested in seeing what comes up fresh.

As far as old or unneeded parts of the threads getting so long, I assume
most mail programs allow you to mark (highlight) and delete the parts of
your reply message that no longer pertain to the train of the thread.

To make this not totally off topic - Have you noticed that most of the seed
catalogs came earlier this year? I started getting some right around
Christmas, and though a few are still dribbling in, I had most of my
favorites by about the first week in January! This weekend I plan to sit in
my recliner with a bowl of popcorn (and my two fat cats) and start making
selections.
