Hello. The squash I mentioned in another post Sunburst (a patty pan
type) is a smallish bush. I had 3 plants (?) in a 4 foot square.
The Zucchetta Rampicante Zucchini is a vigorous vining Italian
heirloom zucchini that will definitely grow up a trellis quite
nicely.
As far as the pumpkins, I don't know of any dwarf varieties, but
maybe you can try what we did when I was a kid. We didn't have the
room either for pumpkins but my 2 sisters and I really wanted to grow
them. So, we grew them up a stucco wall onto the roof. It worked
fabulously. You just pick of any flowers that grow on the verical
space (against the wall). This forces the plant to vine more and
produce flowers farther down. We had loads of pumpkins, and they
were well formed with no rot.
