>What is their benefit?< Nasturtiums produce thousands of truly beautiful blooms, for months, in the poorest of soils, with minimum care and little water. These lovely flowers, if i can get them to bloom, act as a trap crop in companion gardening. This means that aphids, for example, will prefer to attack nasturtiums before they hit squash or whatever veggie you want protected that is susceptible to the bug. some varieties are edible provided they are grown organically if you don't like to ingest chemicals. And they are beautiful coming in many colors. all in all, a very beautiful and worthwhile flower to cultivate! With Love & Light, Mary Ann <gibbs8@herald.infi.net>
