Doreen -
Do you have the recommended tomato varieties for other parts of the
country besides Iowa, as above? I live in So. Ca, zone 9b in Laguna
Hills.
I grew BeefMaster last year and adored the taste, but it didn't
produce very well. I think it needs more than just 1 square foot in
the garden. Is Supersteak similar in flavor - or any other variety?
How about OG50 (Park's Whopper tomato they renamed it this year)?
I also like to grow Roma tomatoes, as they keep on the vine a long
time, are good for eating (in salads etc.) and I can cook with them
too. Does anyone have any other varieties of paste tomatoes that
they like? I have not found many listed in the seed catalogs. Does
anyone have any experience with the following varieties?
Viva Italia Hybrid
La Rossa
Macero II
Principe Borghese Italian Drying Tomato
Milano
San Remo
Thanks everyone.
