Sherry,
May I suggest that you try heirlooms. They have the old-time flavors you
seek. And, may I also suggest that you not use Totally Tomatoes as a seed
source. They have problems with seed purity, according to some experts I've
interviewed. And, personal experience has shown me that they are very slow
to ship. The below catalog has a much larger selection, their seeds are
pure and their service is wonderful.
Tomato Growers Supply
P.O. Box 2237
Ft. Meyers, FL 33902
I'd suggest Druzba, Silvery Fir Tree, Brandywine and a few others.
Also, I am giving away heirloom tomatoes seeds to those who send me a SASE.
I have Southern Night, Gurnsey Island (a ping pong ball size New Zealand
heirloom that is tangy) and Garden Peach--which you won't want, because it's
fruity. The draw is that it looks like a small peach and is fuzzy. Email
me and I'll send you my address, if you want seeds.
