I planted gai-lon as a trial last winter. I planted some 4 per squarefoot and some 1 per square foot. There didn't seem to be a difference. Mine didn't get really big before it budded and I ate it. Look at the ones in the supermarket, they really aren't too large. Hope this helps. Paige

Does anyone have suggestions for planting Pak Choi (Bok Choi) or Gai Laan (Kai Laan) otherwise known as Chinese Kale or Chinese Broccoli?? I thought 4 per square for choi and one per square for Kai Laan but perhaps they could be closer than that. Any experience?
