Square Foot Gardening List - http://myweb.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
I have tried three times to get lemon cukes to grow
from transplants and again they are "biting the big one"!!! I thought that
these would be ok. I didn't over water and I shaded them so they wouldn't
wilt in the hot sun after I transplanted them and now half of them are all
wilted keeling over. We did have a few cool, moist days last week (not too
cool) My stuped peas that just wouldn't come up during the spring seemed to like
it, maybe it was too wet for cukes? In fact my whole garden seems to be
slow and stunted. I see others out there having all these harvests already
and all my stuff is just staring at me! This is my first attempt at Sq.
Ft. Gardening and I really took pains this year. I was better off when I
just threw stuff in the ground! I love Sq. Ft. Gardening, maybe I just
worried about everything too much! But these cukes are the last straw. I'm
in Montana so maybe all of you that are harvesting are in Florida or somewhere
else south?? Help! Any suggestions? I did find really cool wire for
cages, so if anyone's interested I will e-mail that soon.
Thanks, Paula in Montana
