Thanks, Margaret! I visited the site and was delighted to learn of
Clothier's work to make Norman C. Deno's invaluable seed-germination data
more accessible online. Deno is that wild man from Penn State (retired
chemistry prof) who studied the germination patterns of more than 4,000
plant species in order to discover what built-in qualities were hindering
germination. The point, of course, is to work around those natural
self-defense mechanisms so you can get stuff to germinate when you want it
to, not when IT wants to....
Included on Clothier's taxonomic list related to Deno's three books was
info on how to order the volumes. I've already got 1 and 2 but didn't know
the price of 3 and needed a refresher on Deno's address.
Thank you Ton Clothier for your fab site and Margaret for cluing us in
about it.
