Square Foot Gardening List - http://myweb.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
I have a question about this Soil Solarization -- and I am thrilled with
the site provided on this subject. My question is, is this something I
would go into right after breaking ground for the first time? I was
going to dig a new bed, not use a bed already prepared but not in use.
Or are there a lot of steps in between breaking ground for the first time
and soil solarization? I have clay-like soil, and a pretty weedy lawn.
It was field mowed over, and if it were let go there would be grass,
weeds, you name it. It is also kind of rocky about 6 - 8 inches down.
What do you all do with all the rocks? Do you have a rock pile? I've
got all these piles of rocks around, some large, some small. And every
year, more come to the surface. Mel says you don't need a rake - he must
not be dealing with my rocks!
Thanks,
Deb
