My reply:

I think I made a passing reference to this in my first post, but I tend
to remove a lot of soil and spread it out thin for the sterilization
process.   Then I fill the beds with it.   This is incredibly easy for me
as I have a convenient 12x12 patio slab....which of course is always
covered with dirt and plastic.   Utilizing this concrete base I am able
to process fairly large quantities in a relatively short time.   I
understand that not all have a slab laying around, but it is how I deal
with the problem of prepping soil.
