PS: for garden content. :-) After years of watching Mel on PBS, and hauling 
his book through multiple moves, this past spring I was FINALLY able to put 
it to use. I also decided to try an experiment with the 'planting by the 
signs' by following the dates in my Old Farmer's Almanac calendar. I had a 
bumper crops of Sugar Snaps, tomatoes, and bush beans. Then turned around and 
sold the darned house. When the new owner was asked what persuaded him to buy 
my house ... the tomatoes!
