Square Foot Gardening List - http://myweb.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Steve- I used my old soakers from years past and did something similar- but
they are 5/4 inch and really too big to wind around the plants easily-( no
way is mine a work of art tho- more like hillbilly haven!) -I am thinking
that the 1/2 inch would work better- be more pliable- also saw some 1/4 inch
that I wonder if anyone has used.. Would have done more of custom fitting
hoses but was not able to find the fittings for the 3/4 soakers anywhere. So
do some hand watering to fill in the gaps. They are on their last legs so I
will start over and do it right next year.My father is a died in the wool
drip system user. His soultion to the problem of the tips getting
logged( which seems to be the biggest complaint I hear) is to sink a tin can
with holes punched into the bottom- into the ground beside each plant and
position the heads over the can so they don't touch the dirt. His garden
looks great -altho it is not square foot. -Teri
