I HAVE HAD IT.
I'm tired of being blamed for everyone else's inability to follow simple instructions.
I'm not going to do any of the things below, I'm just going to kill this list.
For all of you who like this list as a resource, sorry. Blame the idiots who don't care about the VOLUNTEER efforts of those who administer and run lists like this.
Enjoy Yahoo and all the ads and so on, because this list has been killed due to the selfish efforts of people like HAAG below.

And you have NOT emailed me at the admin address to ask for help, and you have NOT provided any details as to the methods you have tried, or the problems you have encountered. All you have done is complain, without giving me anything to work with to solve the underlying problem (why it isn't working).
>don't understand why it is so difficult, but it is. Thank you.
The reason it is difficult is that you are NOT FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS. It's that simple. The instructions do work. Every SINGLE time I have worked with someone to try to determine where the problem is (and if the problem is in the software, or a failure to properly outline the steps), the end result has been that they did not follow the instructions. They skipped a step, they sent email to the wrong address, they didn't confirm, something.
I found ONE email from you trying to unsubscribe, and it was email you sent "to the list" that was not sent on to the list because such emails are supposed to go to "the list server". If you would FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS, you would have been unsubscribed.
I don't have time to manually remove every single person who wants to be removed. I can't just "remove you" and be done with it, it will happen over and over and over with each successive selfish person who wants me to "please remove them" and not be responsible for their own actions, or care one whit about others who will have the same problem later on.
I have tried to work with people who have problems to determine WHY they have problems, so that the system can be improved and thus so that future people won't have problems. For that effort I have been slammed and accused of holding people hostage on this list.
I can not do this anymore. Either people need to ACCEPT that being on a mailing list means taking responsibility for following instructions, or I will kill this list. Those of you who want this list to survive, you need to help out here. You need to tell jerks who complain and who can't follow simple instructions that they are killing a resource YOU want kept alive.
The next jerk who mails "the list" (instead of email the admin, or just following the simple instructions at the URL below) asking to be removed will get removed, but will also be the lucky recipient of all the spam in my inbox.
Either that or I kill the list.
