Little yellow bugs

I found some little (about 1/32 inch long) yellow bugs with tiny black
legs clustered around parts of one of my Asclepias incarnata (Gloryflower). I
have no idea what they are, so I cut those parts of the plants off and got
rid of them. Any ideas what they could have been? Bean beetle larvae?
