I do most of my herbs in the microwave or a dehydrator (depending on how
much I have to dry - if it is a lot of a single type, I use the dehydrator -
Dry only one variety at a time.
I dry for 1 minute in the microwave at 50% power with a paper towel under
and over it, then flip it, then dry for 30 seconds at 20% power, flip again,
replacing paper towel if needed. If they are almost dry then I do 10
seconds at 10% power, flip, repeating until done. If they are not, then I
do 20 seconds at 20% power, flip until they are almost dry; then I go to the
10 seconds at 10% power. This takes longer, but it doesn't nuke the flavor
out as bad - I have even done basil this way - it turns black, but it still
tastes lots better then the store stuff!!!
