Re: trellised melons

Ted,
In one word--pantyhoses!!!  They are perfect, because they expand with the
melon, are as durable as concrete and don't rot in the heat, moisture and
sunlight.  I've supported many a melon with them, including watermelons.
Just make sure whatever you tie the hose to is strong enough to take the
weight of the melon.
