Since reading earlier posts about using mini-blinds to mark off the 
squares in a square foot garden I have carefully looked at cast-off
stuff on trash pickup day. And today my vigilance was rewarded with
two large dark green mini-blinds.  I thought the color was a bonus,
and quickly hustled them into my house to await next garden season.
I think mini-blinds are a commonly discarded item so perhaps others
will be lucky also -- KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE TRASH:)
