Re: Cut worm bait/chicken tractor?

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

A book by Andy Lee on raising chickens in portable pens, so they can (if you
want) till up the soil and destroy existing vegetation while fertilizing and
gaining nutrients from the plants, worms and bugs there....

A fine book, and Joel Salatin made a fine video illustrating the idea on a
small farm scale, called Pastured Poultry Profit$.....

A friend does this with Guinea pigs to mow his (small) lawn....moving the
pen every day or two....a variation of the rotational pasture idea.....:-)

Frank--not chicken to talk chicken tractor, though they are likely verboten
in yer suburban neighborhoods even tho evil dogs and cats are somehow
OK....<now roosters should be verboten, he thinks, as someone who
occasionally enjoys sleeping, in the morning...>
