Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Glee,
In my original bed, I have
herbs in some holes and short marigolds and sweet alyssum in others. This
bed, including the planted holes, has held up to this summer's hot, dry weather
better than the rest of my yard. (Which is why I decided to do another
one.) I attribute this to having a lot of organic material in the bed which
holds moisture well. The only thing that's died on me is basil, which I do
think needed more water than the other herbs.
