Re: slugs

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

So sorry, but I gave an incorrect address for Gardens Alive. I forgot
the hyphen. It is http://www.gardens-alive.com That one should work
for you.

Yes, I do use this in my veggie garden all the time, although I only
reapply it when I go outside at midnight or so and see more slugs &
snails. It is more expensive than the regular kind of snail bait, but
since you can't use regular snail bait in a veggie garden or w/o killing
earthworms and birds and other animals, it's worth it for me.

I buy it locally at Laguna Hills Nursery in Laguna Hills. They are a
wonderful nursery that focuses on organic methods (very very unusual for
a commercial nursery!). That's in south orange county, probably about 1
1/2 hours for you, if you're really desperate for some snail control or
order on-line. If you call before noon 812-537-8650 Gardens Alive will
ship it that same day. Gardens Alive calls their product Escar-Go. 1
1/4 lbs. $9.99, 2 14 lbs. $16.99, 5 1/2 lbs. $34.95. Worth the larger
sizes I think cause it works great!
