I don't remember seeing the original post, but what about
putting out a boric acid solution for the ants to take back
to their nest? Make a small batch of sugar water and put some
boric acid in it.Put it in a small cup or lid, then place it by the plant (
just make sure
kids and animals can't get to it )and wait. It takes a few days
but does seem to work.
