Hello,

I would hesitate a bit doing that, water softeners are usually cleaned with
salt and I always thought (perhaps wrongly) that there was salt residue in
the water.

A related question...has anyone used the flush water from a reverse-osmosis
water filter on their gardens?  My understanding is that gallons of water
are
"wasted" in the reverse osmosis process and I thought maybe I could feed it
to the tomatoes instead of down the drain.  The water is already softened
when it reaches the filter...
