Whether what Jason wrote about Jerry Baker is slander, or more properly
libel, is not something I would care to get mixed up in. To say that slander
is not true is a redundancy, though.

However, the use of tobacco as an insecticide, is not in my opinion and in
the opinion of organic certification organizations, a good and acceptable
idea. Nicotine is a nasty if natural toxic material.

The use of gin in herbicidal applications, as recommended by Mr Baker,
certainly puts them outside of my budgetary considerations....:-)

His recommendation of late afternoon/early evening mowing of lawns, however,
strikes me as good sense, both for the grass and the person doing the
mowing, as long as both are dry (no dew on the grass, and no gin in the
mower....:-)

Best to attack the ideas and leave the messenger alone....
