Chicken wire is a little flimsy. Hardware cloth is rather stiff. If you
took a 3ft width and cut off 1ft you could make a nice arch and two would
make a cage. I think that was in the book also. I would tell you what to
do with the crows but they are a protected specie. This spring we had a
very large mob of crows nearby for one day. Usually they are no problem
here.
