Square Foot Gardening List - http://myweb.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
If you go to heirloom seeds.com they have a fall planting schedule based upon
your average first day of frost. I also live in NC, and our extension office
said the last week of Oct. was our first frost. After consulting that site
and the old almanac, I'll be starting some of my seeds on July 1.
To beat the heat, I put an S shape length of soaker hose that I had cut in my
4 squares. I then used those hose repair connector thingys to join the
soaker hoses with a cut piece of old regular hose. The regular hose goes
across my path, and only my gardens are watered.
Happy Planting!
