Re: New gardener


Hi Molly,
Welcome to SQFT! I would only like to add to everyone else's
comments, which were very good. I agree - only grow what you
like to eat, and what is expensive in the store. I love
tomatoes, and can't stand the idea of paying those prices for
cardboard taste at the store, so if you can get a few seeds
in the ground, it's probably worth trying. I am very delinquent,
but I just planted tomato seeds directly in the ground about
two weeks ago. It will be a while before I have tomatoes,
but it does work. Peppers, though, seem to take a bit longer
and it may not be worth your while, as they get pretty cheap
in the store in the summer.
