Re: Seed Potato Question


You can plant them if they've sprouted. Tests have shown that sprouted
potatoes yield more than unsprouted potatoes. Just make sure that they are
truly sprouting. Potatoes are sprayed with inhibitors to keep them from
sprouting and sometimes you will get a falst sprouting where it looks like
they are sprouting but then the sprouts never grow past that initial growth.
I cut pieces with two or three eyes, let them sit a day to dry and then
plant.
