Cheryl,
The problem with your egg plants is a very small bug, actually a little
black criter so small you can't readily see them.
Possible Soultion: I have read that you can control these with a dusting of
powdered lime but I haven't tried this myself.
Sure soultion: spray or dust with 5% Sevin.
