Hi Martha and list,

I use soakers but I don't have raised beds. They work very good for me in hot 
dry So. Cal. Directs water to roots, doesn't burn the plants or spread disease 
by watering overhead. I am on my third year of reusing the hoses. I can turn 
them on and leave them to do other things. See my other message about sources.
