Luffa squash has a wonderful cucumber flavor in the stir fry when you
pick it young. It stays crisp and refreshing when lightly cooked.
Let it mature and you get bath sponges. I know that sounds like a
strange combination but an old Vietnamese priest told me to try the
young gourds and now I am a Luffa convert.
Beyond that?....Winter Squash?...Butternut is GREAT! I grow that on
trellises.
