6:4:3:3 (add sand too, I didn't and now that I've added some to part of my
garden it makes a BIG difference :-)

Mel's "Perfect Soil" recipe is:

1 bale of peat moss: 6 cu ft
1 large bag coarse vermiculite: 4 cu ft
3 cu ft of sand
2 pails (2 1/2 gal size) wood ashes and charcoal
3 cu ft of compost (10 pails)
1 quart/coffee can of lime
1 quart/coffee organic fertilizers

This will make 16 cubic feet of soil, enough to fill a 4x4 garden block 12
inches deep.
