Re: berries and cut worms

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

Hi All,

Thanks for all the tips on Strawberries. I planted 4 plants and I'll wait
to see what happens before putting in more. I put them towards the edge of
the bed just in case they get out of control.

I will also try the toothpick and popsicle idea for the cut worms. I
haven't seen any sings of them, but I just planted some cabbage and
broccoli and would like to catch them before any damage occurs. Do cut
worms like tomatoes and green peppers too?????

I was also thinking of using some peat moss on my soil. Does anyone have
any recommendations as to how thick to spread it on? I want to add some
ammendments to the soil. It is very clay like and the soil is getting
compact.

Thanks
Theresa
