I just had a traumatic tomato-pruning experience and I need the advice
of you senior gardeners as to what I should expect.  I am growing
tomatoes vertically for the first time and have been feeling pretty
confident so far--recognizing and pruning suckers, etc.  Unfortunately,
in a fit of cockiness, I think I just pruned the actual main stem of the
plant and left the sucker.  What will happen now?
