Hi Lisa,
   Here in Boston I use a trick taught to me by my aunt. She and my uncle had 
a huge garden in Lynnfield Mass for years. Whenever there is a frost, get out 
the next morning before the sun hits the frost covered vegies and hose all 
the frost off the plants. I've extended my harvest time by weeks using this 
method in the fall. Make sure you do it before the sun hits or it will be too 
late.
