Hi Kim,

I think the temperature is the problem.  Tater's like
cool weather.  I tried the straw in Wyoming the summer
we lived there and it was a disaster!

I have a neat homeschool project for potatoes using
tires for those of you interested. Let me know
if you want the instruction's.
