Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
This is a message that was sent to a list I manage, thought you all might
get a kick out of it, a different way to grow tomatoes.
"this is my first post to the list. When you was talking about tomatoes
plants , let me tell you about one of mine..(grin)
We live out in the country, this wouldn't work in town...or it might. (grin)
A friend told me to try this one....Get a 5 gallon bucket...with the handle
still attach to the bucket......make a hole in the center of the
bucket......put the tomato plant in the bucket, upside down, with the top of
the plant hanging down but the roots inside the bucket, don't have the hole
too big where the plant will fall out, put dirt in the bucket.......hang the
bucket by the handle in a tree that is not too shady..your tomato plant will
grown with the tomatoes in a vine upside down, like a hanging pot......I
have one that is growing like this, looks very healthy so far....I can't
wait to see that it will do, I have found a pretty large pot and made a
hanging pot out of, to do one for the patio also. Just an idea that I wanted
to share with you."
