Re: Help!!! What can I plant in the holes of cinder blocks?

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

This is my first year with cinder blocks and couldn't resist planting in the
wholes too. I agree about them needing more water, but how about the 'water
crystals'. What so you call them?
I have strawberries and alyssum plus a few herbs in mine. Made the beds next to
the sidewalks 5 blocks wide,( 5 blocks x 48 blocks and 5 blocks x 28 blocks).
These beds run next to our sidewalk almost the length of the house. Just picked
up 100 more blocks, these will be used for 4 more narrower beds running across
and down a slope. I'm going to use these new beds for Asparagus, Artichokes,
Horseradish, and the Perennial Herbs. Will try growing the garlic and shallots
in the wholes. Happy gardening!!
