RE: Poison Ivy

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

The irritant not only stays stable a long time, it can often stay on your
skin despite washing with soap and water. People around here swear by GoJo
mechanic's hand cleaner as a poison ivy oil remover. I have used it on my
kids when they were exposed, and it seems to have prevented any rash. I
know people who have used it on wicked rashes and had them clear up
overnight; it was either a powerful placebo, or the normal healing time
involves waiting for the last of the oil to rub off.
