Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
As far as had weeding tools are concerned, for surface work I like the
Chinese Weeding Hoe offered in the Lee Valley catalog for 2.95$ Cdn. It is
light and works beautifully.
A hand weeder that interests me is the Winged Wonder Junior; but it costs
way more and frankly the Chinese tool seems to me to have greater precision
(only one blade to watch out for) as well as a nicer price tag...
Gardena makes a scuffle type hoe attachment that you could fit on their
shorter handles, and there is always the Cape Cod Weeder if you want
something North American (although IMHO the Chinese tool is superior because
of its lighter weight, and you can make it double as a light sickle; it
looks exactly like a kama, which is an Asian sickle also know through its
martial arts use....as is the Asian flail, aka numchuks...
Frank---has prolly seen one too many Bruce Lee movies, but is feared by his
weeds---those that don't get smothered in mulch, must face Frank in his
Green Dragon mode...:-)
