Actually they are rather expensive but worth it to me. Some members of other lists don't like it but to each their own, right? I think it retains moisture great, breaks down to make wonderful compost in a fair amount of time and is a must for a fragrant garden. I also used it on a bed that had sweet alyssum, heliotrope and some other fragrant flowers. The sweet smell was delicous!
