RE: Tom in 1 Sq F

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

Fran,

Thanks for the great links. I really learned a lot from the "quiz" page and
would recommend that anyone taking the "quiz" to click on each and every
branch, sucker, etc. (not just the ones you know!) to learn other tips for
pruning.

This is a very timely discussion for me as I start stressing out about
growing tomatoes. I know my hobby is supposed to be relaxing but this is my
very first garden and at times, I start to feel overwhelmed. Perfectionist
complex, I guess. My questions at the moment are how many of each tomato
variety to grow (roma, cherry, early girl, big boy) and which method to use
to stake. Then comes the same questions for my peppers. It doesn't help
that the guy I work with just planted 130 tomatoes, 70+ peppers and 30 or so
eggplants. He says he'll use half of them and give the rest to his
families. Geez. And I'm getting worked up about a measly dozen plants.

Debbie

Kim, check those 2 sites. That should give you a pretty good answer.
The first shows how to prune.
The second one is a quiz. Real Fun!

Hope this helps.
