I had a catnip plant that was starting to grow nicely (from seed) and
had removed alot of the weeds around it a few days ago. I noticed the
plant was all torn up this morning. A few months ago I bought a nice big
catnip plant and planted it in the garden. It was destroyed completely in
two days. As soon as I get the extra money, I am going to buy hardware
cloth and cover my plants with it. I may also try to put a catnip plant
in a 5 gallon bucket and keep it on the porch. No guarantee of course
that the neighborhood cats won't get into it though. But it will be
worth a try. Right now I have to use most of my money to buy fencing
to keep my 75+ pound puppy from getting into my garden areas. The fences
do help, but he can still get into them if he really wants to :(
( and he does ).
