Hi Amy,

Two methods work great, use a water gun. Hide it in your pocket and when
you see the cat's step into the beds give them a few fast squirts, they
learn very fast. The other method is to sprinkle ground hot pepper on
the soil in the beds, they'll get a good whiff and run fast.
